*What better way to get you into the spirit of Halloween than with a pumpkin glow. We’re used to pumpkin patches, carving, and even pumpkin pie, but have you ever gone to a pumpkin glow?
During the summer I tend to dread the next season because I know whats looming not too far behind…WINTER. And then slowly but surely I see the leaves begin to change just a bit, the wind gets a little crisper and I find myself looking forward to cute new sweaters and scarves. I drive to my nearby Starbucks and of course there is the seasonal staple pumpkin spice latte which pretty much says ‘Welcome Fall’.
Naturally I accept the inevitable and fall into place…no pun intended. The night sky starts to take on a look that I describe as Halloweeny, when the clouds fall across the moon in just the right manner to look just a bit creepy.
In an effort to embrace the beautiful season we head out to explore all things fall. In that process we came across something that we’d never heard of before, a pumpkin glow! And boy what a magical experience. We knew the gist was glowing pumpkins, but to see them in the manner that they were displayed was quite the experience.
Everything about walking this trail felt like something out of a movie. It was held at a park and there were pumpkins of all styles and designs throughout the trees and on display.
Pumpkins Pumpkins Pumpkins!!
There were pumpkin halves created to be jellyfish strung high above in the trees. There were scary pumpkins, painted pumpkins, pumpkins that looked like superheros and actors, pumpkins referencing popular movies. It was truly a surprise at every turn.

Separate from the trail were additional festivities such as making smores, hay bail mazes and of courses bouncy houses.
There was put put, pumpkin riding and of course plenty of food options.
The pumpkin glow was worth every minute. Our family had a fabulous time together, such a great memory.
And this year they even added ax throwing! Might be fitting for the Halloween theme, though not so much for my 10 year old daughter. She enjoyed it though.
This post was all about pumpkin glow fun!!
